The Clan Boundary Town

This town retains its old appearance and has about 170 townhouses, shrines, and temples. There are tales of the history of the boundary between clan domains, with the Kobo district belonging to the Yanagawa Clan and the Enokizu district to the Kurume Clan. This area is also the birthplace of woodworking in Japan, where artisans still live and work in the woodworking industry.
Why not take a leisurely stroll and feel the town's history come to life? Here is a model walking course.

The route follows the streets, so it is just a short walk except for places that aren't indicated.
Stop at stores and bakeries along the way!
