A bakery straight from the streets of Paris: Paris-Montsouris

Attractions

The owner studied under Philippe Bigot, the man who introduced French bread to Japan. The goods convey the spirit of France while incorporating local ingredients. Set in a well-kept old townhouse, he carefully bakes bread from the 1980s. The most popular item is the bread (pain de mie). Baguettes and apple pie with crisp apples and crunchy dough are also specialties of this store. You can also eat in and enjoy a coffee or café au lait. Be sure to stop by early, as many items are sold out by evening.
