The oldest existing rising railway bridge in Japan, built in 1935 when the Japan National Railways (JNR) Saga Line was laid down. Today, the bridge is open to the public as a walkway and can be crossed from the Ōkawa City side to Morotomi Town in Saga City. The view of the waterfront from the bridge is soothing and relaxing in each of the four seasons. The bridge is beautifully illuminated from sunset to around 10 p.m.
